The Maritime Administration of the Union of Comoros requests all Ship Owners/Managers having vessels using the old MMSI code beginning with 616 to apply for a new identification. 

As of July 2025, all Comoros Flagged Vessels must be using the MMSI code beginning with 620. The Administration will strongly take action against any recalcitrant.
